Big Dreamers Mentoring Program

Volunteering is fun!

Being a mentor is one of the most enjoyable things you’ll ever do. Not to mention, one of the most fulfilling. You have the opportunity to help shape a child’s future for the better by empowering him or her to achieve. And the best part is, it’s actually a lot of fun. You can share the kinds of activities you already like to do.

Play sports together. Read books. Or just give some advice and inspiration. Whatever it is you enjoy, odds are you’ll enjoy it even more and you’ll be making a life-changing impact.

YOUTH MENTORS

RECRUITING YOUTH

Every day, we read about children and teenagers who succumb to drugs or violence, or who drift aimlessly through life without motivation or direction. However, many of those same youth, even those in desperate circumstances, would like to become involved in programs and projects that will have a positive impact on their communities and their lives.

A mentoring program is an excellent way to guide these children and teenagers to lead productive lives.

Goal Setting & Other  Programs

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUTHS TO SET GOALS

From time to time, everyone experiences difficulty getting started on the path to success. Each of us has a unique set of strengths that help us, as well as challenges that hinder us on the way. Goal setting helps us separate our strengths from weaknesses and make realistic plans for improving our lives.

Become A Mentor

You Don’t Have to be a Super Hero to be a Mentor!

Mentors are caring adults who provide emotional support, encouragement, and friendship to a young person.

Mentoring is about consistently showing up and building a friendship through shared activities and is a shared opportunity for learning and growth.  Mentors say that they gain many rewards from the experience and the mentor/mentee relationship allows them to have fun, achieve personal growth, have a better attitude at school/work, and feel that they are making a difference.
