Take A Stand

Bullying is a serious problem with long-lasting effects that can be the root cause of bad behavior, academic failure, and lack of self-esteem. Our TakeAStand program focus on the most important things such as: Listening and Asking questions. Do you know if your child has had any experience with bullies or has seen other children experience bullying or the bully. Discuss on how to handle bullying situations and Look for a positive, supportive atmosphere where students know that bullying will not be tolerated, to stand up and advocate for themselves and others, where students know they can go to adults for help, and where there are clear consequences for bullying.

We implement mini programs every 6 weeks such as J.A.M. Jr. Anger Management program where we teach on knowing, facing your anger and how to control your anger. We also do workshops and activities.

Be A Superheroe: Is a theme for our anti-bullying program. This campaign is to Stop Bullying by making a poster, poem, video and or essay contest. Each participant receives a certificate. The winners of the Superhero contest depending on age gets a superhero cape, a bullying theme t-shirt and be featured in our clubs Stop Bullying Awareness video. Essays and posters will be displayed on our social media pages to promote awareness.

Big Dreamers also has a Girls on the Run team. This program focused on being confident and building strength. The girls learn healthy and fun fitness activities eats a healthy snack and have fun while running. Together, the girls work on basic skills and teamwork. Not only does it send a message about healthy habits, but it can also boost confidence and self-worth. Which also ends in a 5k race after each season.

Be an Advocate for Bullied Students

An advocate is one that pleads the cause of another, or one who supports or promotes the interests of another. The question is how can we, as educators, support students who have been bullied? How can we plead the cause of all bullied students and stop bullying? We have to be their champions. We must create a culture in our schools, which will hopefully spread to society, where everyone is treated respectfully and bullying is correctly understood and addressed. This tool kit is intended to help educators know how to identify bullying, intervene in a bullying incident, and advocate for bullied students.

Book our youths to speak at your next school, church or community Bullying Prevention Awareness event.
