Eight members of Big Dreamers Youth Club from Thibodaux hosted a Memorial Day fundraiser weekend event in honor of Anti-bullying prevention. It was a four-day event which kicked off Friday May 26th and ending on Monday May 29th Memorial Day. Friday they had a benefit dinner, on Saturday they held a garage/bake sale and both days the youth members were out with their lemonade stand selling their signature lemonade Stand Bold Orange in honor of Anti-Bullying. On Sunday the youth members gave out information about bullying prevention at MLK Park doing Super Sunday and Monday they were prepared to do a car wash which was cancelled due to the Rain.

 

The purpose for the fundraiser was to help raise awareness while also raising money for their organization summer reading and mentoring programs. In which the youths will learn more in lesson plans and Anti-Bullying activities.

 

The organization will also donate part of their proceeds to Pacers National Bullying Prevention Center.
